Pet Senior Care for Dogs and Cats
Pet Preventative Care Helps with Aging Pets
Senior pet exams will include a thorough examination, along with some questions for you about your pet's habits and behaviors. Sometimes unusual physical symptoms or specific concerns will require laboratory testing to isolate the issue. These tests are generally performed on-site, which gives you fast results for blood tests, urine tests, ultrasounds, and more.
Regular flea and tick prevention, heartworm medication, and at-home dental care are all part of senior pet care. Be sure to administer all medications as directed, and brush your pet’s teeth regularly with a soft-bristle toothbrush and pet-specific toothpaste. Dr. Grewal may schedule teeth cleanings here at our facility as well, which are normally a yearly procedure to remove tartar and plaque that home brushing may leave behind.
